Attorney Chart Westcott donates his time and resources to a number of nonprofit and political organizations in his home city of Dallas, Texas. A pro-business and pro-education political activist, Mr. Westcott passionately supports conservative GOP candidates seeking election or re-election to the Texas Legislature and other state offices. In 2012, he organized the Conservative Values Coalition Political Action Committee (CVC-PAC), an institution dedicated to backing conservative Republican politicians in Texas. Through CVC-PAC, he and his colleagues have actively endorsed such candidates as Christi Craddick for Texas Railroad Commissioner and Kelly Hancock for Texas State Senate District 9.
In addition to his work with CVC-PAC, Chart Westcott supports numerous other political groups, including the Dallas County Republican Party, as well as various nonprofit and community organizations such as United Way of Metropolitan Dallas and Highland Park United Methodist Church. Mr. Westcott, who holds a juris doctor from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law, currently works as general counsel to Westcott, LLC. He also serves as chairman of the family-run Westcott Foundation, which contributes to scholarship programs for underprivileged teenagers.
